Try as you might to remember everything you may need while camping, there always seems to be a few things that get forgotten. We try to keep a variety of items stocked in the store for you but thought we’d share some things you can add to your list.
Cold/wet weather gear – The weather is unpredictable and can bring rain when you least expect it. And mornings can be dewy in the spring and fall. You’ll want to pack an extra layer of clothing for this possibility and also some water resistant jackets and a tarp. Even in the summer, a quick rain can cool you down a degree or two too much.
Bags, baggies, and tin foil – You’ll be surprised how much you use these items when you’re camping. They’ll be needed for food, trash, and keeping things of a kind together. Bring extra since they won’t spoil and can be used at home once you return from your trip.
Batteries and bug spray – You know the flashlight will run out of steam when you most need it and bug spray needs to be around no matter when you are camping. Add these items to your checklist and you’ll always have a well lighted path and itch-free skin.
Pillows and sleeping bags – It’s kind of funny how easy it is to forget and wind up a few pillows less than you have heads. And add an extra sleeping bag or two because they get used for so many things. You might need a soft ground cover to sit on or something to curl up in while you drink your morning coffee.
We hope your camping trip is forget-free and you have everything you need. If not, let us know and we’ll help you out the best we can.
