Camping can frequently be an experience in weather adventure and that is certainly true here in Minnesota. Our mornings can be cool, even in July, and our evenings can return to jacket weather on a regular occasion.
When packing for your trip, we suggest you plan to pack the type of clothing that you can layer on and then peel off as is comfortable for you. You may feel just right in your t-shirt at the campsite and then get chilled if you sit in the shade of a tree.
The same applies for your sleeping bags and blankets. You are better off with a couple of light blankets than one heavy quilt, due to the fact that you can adjust as needed through the night and not be faced with only an all-on or all-off option.
You can check to determine what the average temperature is in Austin during the month you will be camping with us at this link. And then you can check the local weather shortly before you arrive to find out if there is anything else you may need to prepare for.
We can’t wait to see you and we want to you enjoy your stay. Please let us know if we can help with anything at all.
